DESCRIPTION
The ideal location for wine tasting in the Russian River Appellation and 20 minutes from the ocean. Casa Carolina is in a private hollow surrounded by an established oak forest, nestled in flowering perennial and vegetable beds interspersed with fruit trees and berry patches. Deer, red-tailed hawks, great horned owls, raccoons, foxes, too many gophers, Daisy, the donkey, hens, and lambs are all residents of this beautiful property.

This keen aesthetic mix continues inside the Casa which features an eclectic collection of art and antiques from Italy, Guatemala, Sonoma County and the innkeeper's family.

Though in a country setting, Casa Carolina is only 2 miles from Sebastopol's downtown for a variety of dining, spas and shopping. Great opportunities for bicycling off and on road. Micro climates change rapidly for interesting day trips ranging from vineyards in several appellations, virgin redwood forests to coastal cliffs. Helpful in depth concierge services available. Sample menus, self guided maps or a limo at the door all gladly provided.

CUISINE
Breakfast specialties of crepes and frittata are made with eggs from our hens, fruits and vegetables from our garden. Early evening hors d'oeuvres are served Italian style. Solitude available with all you can eat in the berry patch.

Our signature dish is Gravenstein Deep-Dish Upside-Down Pancake. Made from fresh local apples, our own free-range chicken eggs and other choice ingredients, drizzled with Grand Marnier and topped with our own garden-fresh raspberries (when available). Served with Gravenstein apple juice, granola and yoghurt and free-trade Italian Roast coffee made in a Bialetti espresso maker. You'll love it!
